LGS (Le Groupe Swing): Ottawa, Ontario
Few groups know how to create melodies that immediately make us want to smile, dance and party, like LGS. Recognized throughout Canada as ”french traditional music swindlers”, LGS blends French-Canadian folk songs with American pop. In the last 20 years, LGS has been nominated at the JUNO Awards and at the ADISQ Gala and has won 13 Trille Or Awards, including Group of the year and Best Live Performance. The group's infectious madness and energy irremediably transform every concert into a unique experience!
É.T.É.: Montreal, Quebec
Three young musicians with varied musical backgrounds united their creative and artistic forces to form the group É.T.É. Its members, Élisabeth Moquin, Thierry Clouette and Élisabeth Giroux, offer a very dynamic and modern vision of Québec traditional music. Their musical arrangements are shaded with infuences of folk, progressive rock and classical music interpreted on fiddle, Irish bouzouki and cello, with the special colour to the group’s appeal through masterful step dancing.
